Privacy and cookie policy

In short: the site has no newsletter, ads or analytics tools and sets no cookies for visitors. We process data when you contact us, when you apply for a job through the form on the site, and in the server's technical logs.

2. What data we process

• When you email or call us: your name, email address, phone number, company and the project information you send us.
• When you apply for a job: your name, phone number, email (if you give it), the role, the countries you can work in, your experience, availability, message and the attached CV. Please do not include sensitive data in your CV (for example your national ID number or health data).
• Server logs: on every visit the server automatically records the IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser type. We do not use them to identify or track you.

• To answer you and prepare a quote — steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) and our legitimate interest in communicating with business partners (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To review your application and contact you about a job — based on the consent you tick in the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and on steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us.
• To keep the site running safely (server logs) — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. How long we keep the data

We keep correspondence for as long as the discussion lasts and, if it leads to a contract, for as long as legal archiving obligations require. Server logs are kept for a limited period, only for security and troubleshooting.

We keep job applications (including the CV) for at most 12 months from submission, then delete them, unless we hire you. We delete them sooner if you ask us to.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent data. The site is hosted by OVHcloud on a server in the European Union. Our hosting and email providers process data only on our behalf, under contract. We may disclose data to authorities only where the law requires it.

6. Cookies

The site uses no cookies and no other tracking technologies (traffic analytics, pixels, ads). Fonts, images and code load only from our own server, with no requests to other companies. That is why you see no cookie banner.

Only the administration panel, used by the SMACO team, sets a strictly necessary cookie for signing in. Site visitors receive no cookies.

The “View on map” link opens Google Maps in a new tab, only if you click it; from there Google's policy applies. If we ever add something that needs your consent, we will ask for it first and update this page.

7. Your rights

You can ask at any time for access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to the email address above; we reply within one month at the latest, as the GDPR requires.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro.

The version in force is always the one on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
